The Benefits of LED lighting [Infographic]
LED lighting has become an increasingly popular lighting choice over the years due to its many benefits. LED stands for ‘light emitting diodes’ – they’re semiconductor devices which convert electricity into light without the use of filaments or fluorescent tubes. LED lighting is incredibly energy efficient and it’s able to convert over 80% of their energy into light, whereas alternative light bulbs are only able to convert 20% of their energy into light and give 80% of their energy off as heat.
Over the years, LED lighting has become an incredibly popular lighting choice in homes, businesses and commercial properties. Some of the most notable benefits of LED lighting include:

- More cost effective than light bulb alternatives
- More energy efficient than other light bulb alternatives
