Hottest Digital Advertising Trends in 2017 [Infographic]

As the internet becomes a more pivotal part of our modern society, a more complex and effective digital platform has been developed and is starting to be used by many businesses today: digital advertising. And as it continued to grow at impressive speeds, more and more companies are realizing its potential against traditional marketing efforts.

Digital advertising faced some serious challenges in 2016, however. The biggest roadblock that it has faced came in the form of people installing adblockers – the number of people installing them on their mobile devices continue to grow at an unprecedented rate of 90% year-over-year. This has been blamed for costing the advertising industry $22 billion in 2015.

However, the IAB/PwC Internet Advertising Report stated that the year-to-date revenues through June 2016 had totaled to $32.7 billion (up to 19.1%) from the $27.5 billion of the previous year.

These are just some of the factors that affected the digital advertising plane, and they certainly have set some standard with the trends for the upcoming years.
