5 Top CSS Frameworks Technology of 2019

CSS, or cascading style sheets, have been around for a while now. In more recent years, CSS has seen great improvements and has grown in popularity. If you haven’t yet heard of CSS, they are used to help web developers with formatting different aspects of web page layouts. CSS frameworks offer a basic structure that allows for faster web development and responsive designs. They can help you to save time, increase productivity, and improve the organization of your code. They’re easily maintained and scalable. There are several frameworks from which to choose, and new ones are continually being introduced. Here are five of the top CSS frameworks of 2019, along with a few more unconventional ones.

Bulma

The bulma css is a free option that is incredibly popular. It is used by more than 150,000 developers. Based on Flexbox, it’s easy to learn and is incredibly responsive. Even beginners can learn with this framework and if you run into any issues, there’s plenty of resources available to help you out. Bulma is compatible with many different web browsers, not just Chrome, and also features a mobile-first design. This means that any designs you create with the framework will look great on mobile devices as well.

Bootstrap

Bootstrap is one of the more popular choices when it comes to CSS frameworks and is used by millions of websites. It’s well-established, offers numerous components, and has thorough documentation. Bootstrap is regularly updated, so users will always have access to the newest features. The framework is easy to use, making it beginner-friendly. It takes very little time to create an incredible looking webpage.

UIKit

UIKit isn’t as well-known as Bootstrap, but it’s still one of the top CSS frameworks available. As a newer framework, there isn’t as much documentation, but there will likely be more as time goes on. It offers users a sleek, modern design and is incredibly modular. There are more than 30 components that can be combined, providing even greater versatility. Since it’s still new, it’s not the best option for beginners, but it can be used for just about any type of project from simple to complex.

Semantic UI

Another fairly new framework, Semantic UI has gained popularity due to its simplicity. It uses a very natural language that makes it very easy to understand. It features an intuitive nature that’s great for those just getting started, although experts can enjoy it as well. As a newer framework, it doesn’t have as many components as some of the more established frameworks, but that doesn’t mean that Semantic UI should be overlooked. It can be very beneficial for those looking for something lightweight and easy to use.

Foundation

Foundation is an advanced framework that is used by some of the world’s most popular organizations. The framework is excellent for creating responsive pages. Due to its complexity, it’s not the best option for beginners. It is, however, a great option for those who have experience. It’s readable and completely customizable. You can create websites, apps, and more that will look incredible on computers and mobile devices.

Unconventional CSS Frameworks

Not everyone wants something conventional. If you’re looking for a CSS framework that’s a bit more out of the box, there are a few CSS frameworks that allow you to design something a little different. For instance, PaperCSS has components that look like they were drawn by hand. You might consider this framework if you’re designing a website aimed at a younger audience.

Another more unconventional CSS framework NES.css. Like PaperCSS, it may not be your go-to framework, but it does have its place. Its components mimic the style of 8-bit retro games from the early Nintendo Entertainment System. In addition to its unique features, it also offers several components that you might find in more conventional frameworks.

With CSS frameworks, you can build webpages faster. You save time, increase your productivity, and avoid unnecessary hassles. The right framework will help you to build great webpages that you can be proud of.
