Networking – this word has been abuzz in recent years and many have either been asked about joining one or what it actually is. For many, it connotes an almost negative meaning: people inside a banquet hall, thinking and discussing of ways on how they can all become rich without investing too much money and hard work.
To clear up one myth, networking and multi-level marketing (which is what was described above) are not similar, and yet they are being mistaken as one and the same. This wrongful connection has painted a discouraging image for networking amongst many, and has made it hard for networkers to dispel the wrong image.
