Natural Remedies to Make your Dry Skin Radiant and Supple

If you belong to a dry skin family, you know how tricky it, to manage the skin especially during winters is. Though, dry skin is harmless but if it is not treated it can lead to many skin problems like eczema, cracking, redness and inflammation. The dry skin could be caused due to environmental changes or due to lack of natural moisture.

1. Aloe-Vera Gel

3. Petroleum Jelly

Petroleum jelly is an ideal home remedy for dry skin. It is gentle on the skin and keeps inflammation and itchiness at bay. It also locks the natural moisture and prevents chapped skin. It is an ideal solution for chapped lips as well

Petroleum jelly is greasy in nature thus, less amount will be sufficient for you. The best time to apply it is night. Apply a generous amount of petroleum jelly on your dry skin or patches before hitting the sack.

Add some oatmeal powder to a bath and soak your body in it for a few minutes. Avoid warm water, since it will not let your skin to heal. Alternatively, use creams that have oatmeal powder as a main ingredient.

6. Raw Milk

Raw milk provides the much needed hydration to the skin. It contains anti-inflammatory and other beneficial properties that come handy for curing dry skin. You can also use raw milk powder to treat the dryness and sourness.

Slather on some raw milk on the irritated skin, leave it until it dry completely and then wash it thoroughly. Optionally, you can create milk mask with milk powder and water.

7. Avocado

Avocado is a rich source of essential nutrients such as Vitamin A, C and E that heal dry skin and moisturise the skin within. It keeps your skin healthy for long run and deals with other skin concerns as well.

Peel the upper layer of the fruit and extract the pulp. Add some honey to it. Honey is humectant which works wonders for dry skin. Mix the ingredients and apply it on the dry skin. Keep it for 10 minutes and then rinse it with Luke warm water.

8. Egg Yolk

Egg yolk has Vitamin A, B, D and E with rich fats which are a wonderful treatment for dry skin. In addition, it also reduces signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles.

Put egg yolk on your clean face and rinse it off when it dries completely. For extra nourishment you can add olive oil, honey and rose water to it.
