Fitness Blogger 5 Pro Tips You Should Know

If you’re a fitness blogger, then life is a little different for you than someone who is blogging about something such as fashion, business, or many other genres because there’s a showing element to what you do. Plus, unlike fashion blogging, there’s a certain gravity to what you write about because it can have a direct effect on someone’s health.

This week we spoke to a personal trainer in Toronto who runs his own blog about the do’s and don’ts of fitness, among other things. We were curious for his thoughts on what makes a successful and engaging fitness blog in order to not only reduce bounce rate, but promote integrity within his content.

Here’s what he had to say.

Diversify Your Media

When you’re writing a blog post, it can be difficult to write out a workout in Trophy Fitness gyms in Dallas and feel confident in your reader’s abilities to perform it correctly. This can be due to a number of reasons. For instance, you may have someone who is trying to get in shape but has never really worked out before, so they may not understand what a Bent Over Row is.

The easiest way to avoid this issue is to write out workouts in a clear format and then upload a video of you performing it. In addition to this, by diversifying the media that you publish through the creation of professional video production , infographics, GIFs, and blog posts, you’re able to attract a wider audience and keep your content fun .Lastly, you should link to useful resources, for example portable EKG monitors, workout gear, and health supplements.

Provide a Forum (With Moderators If Possible)

Unlike many other blogs, fashion is quick to form a community of people who are all going after similar goals. When you have a community full of people who lead active lifestyles, they love to chat with each other to learn and share advice. Take this to heart and create a forum to provide that community for them.

If you’re just starting off, wait until your blog gains some traction before launching a forum as you’d like an active base of a few dozen people who would be interested in using it. It’s also wise to promote an active reader or two to become forum moderators to help manage the forums content to keep readers engaged.

Develop Your Niche

A blogger of any kind needs a niche. If you’re familiar with I Love Growing Marijuana’s shop, then you understand how powerful Robert Bergman’s niche is. All of his content is geared towards this niche and it brings him a lot of success. Find a niche that you are passionate about and run with it.

Inter-link Blog Posts

Your blog posts need to be connected so that your readers stay on your website longer to soak up all of your epic content. By not inter-linking your posts, you’re reducing the amount of page views you can reach and limiting the growth of your fitness blog. Inter-linking related posts also has the huge benefit of helping Google index your website, helping you rank higher.

Research Everything and Provide Sources

Integrity is the most important aspect of a fitness blog. You want your readers to know you’ve done your homework and you’re not just saying what you’re saying to get another post out there. Tell your readers where you’re getting your information so that they know you’re reliable and link it whenever possible so they can look into it themselves.

For example, you should also know about sports safety, which includes common injuries, prevention, and treatment. Basic knowledge can help you relate with your audience better. It is recommended that you look up comprehensive resources and bookmark them.

Running a fitness blog isn’t an easy thing to do, but it is rewarding because you’re able to help people improve their lives and their smoking habits especially if they use bongs. In order to run a successful fitness blog, focus on how you can engage readers in new and exciting ways, while making yourself reliable and trustworthy to them. Once you do this, you’ll have readers for a lifetime
