7 Exercises You Can Do Right In Your Chair! [Infographic]

Isn’t it frustrating to see that you are gaining weight but you can’t do anything about it due to the nature of your job? For some people who work on the field, weight loss is not an issue. They keep moving. Hence, burning excess calorie is a lot easier for them. For those of you who are seated in the office for 5-8 hours a day, it is a different story.

Although it is already your job’s nature to work in front of a computer, being physically active is still your choice. Just because your job requires you to be seated for a long time does not mean you don’t have to do anything. There are exercises you can do right now on your chair.

To begin with, you need to make sure that you stand up or move from one place to another whenever possible. You also have to interrupt sitting for every 30-40 minutes. As long as you can keep your body moving, it would be fine.

If you really have to work in front of the computer for a long time, stretching would help. You can do arm and leg stretches. You may also do a leg lift. It exercises both your legs and lower abdominal region. You might be surprised to even sweat a little while working.

Yes, these are not intense exercises and you can’t expect drastic weight loss by doing them. The point is that you don’t allow yourself to keep sitting for the whole day without any physical activity.
