Xiaomi Y1 and Y1 Lite

Xiaomi launched two selfie centric phones which fits in everyone’s pocket: the Y1 and & Y1 lite. Both devices are quite similar in configuration. Both have 5.5-inch 720p display, 3080 mAh battery, 13 MP f/2.2 aperture phase detection auto focus camera with LED flash and both cameras support real time filters.

Both have some similar specifications but that ends when we take a look inside the phone and the front facing camera. Both devices are powered by Snapdragon chipsets. The Y1 comes with SD 435 which is an octa-core processor and the Y1 lite comes with SD 425 which is just a quad-core processor. The selfie centric Y1 is comes with a 16 MP front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash, whereas the Y1 lite just comes with 5 MP camera without an LED flash. The aperture is still f/2.0 for both which allows more light to fall on the camera sensor.

Y1’s base variant comes with 3GB ram and 32 of storage and Y1 lite has only 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of onboard storage. Both devices can be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot up to 128 GB. You can also get a higher variant of Y1 (4GB ram & 64GB onboard) just by adding some more money.  Both are going on sale on Amazon and mi.com on 8th November.

The price of Y1 Lite is 6999₹. The Y1 base model is priced at 8999₹ and the higher variant at 10999₹.
