SmartKey Product Key Recovery review: one-click tool to find and backup software keys
Introduction

First impressions
SmartKey Product Recovery can be downloaded from here. The app weighs at only 913 KB in size. After downloading, the installation is pretty easy, you only need to choose the install location and click next.
Once the installation is complete, the app can be launched from the start menu. You will be greeted with the following start screen.
Usage and experience
The app is very simple to use. On the first start, if you happen to have a product key, you can click the ‘Register’ button and paste in your details to upgrade the app to full version. Otherwise you can continue using the software in free trial mode.
All you need to do is press ‘Get Key’ and the product keys for the software installed in your computer are displayed. The Windows product key and Microsoft programs like Office, Visual Studio and SQL are often listed. Other software like VMWare workstation, CoreAVC Pro may be detected, but it depends if the keys are available in the registry.
Finally, you can backup the keys by clicking ‘Save’ and choosing the save location.
It is that simple!
