The Samsung Gear VR Innovator Edition Launched

From the time we laid our eyes on a 3D movie, our hearts would have raced as we were put in the situation as it happened. The Gear VR initially announced itself with the Note 4 from Samsung but that proved to be a bit too big and clumsy. The Gear VR Innovator Edition however, connects to the newly launched Samsung Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge which means that it is relatively lighter and smaller to use. On the outside, there is a volume controller, motion sensors to track your movements, a back button, touchpad for easy browsing and for a stereoscopic view, there are 2 magnifiers on the inside that can be adjusted with the help of a focus wheel on the top of the headset. In the software department, Oculus takes over and provides apps such as Oculus Cinema and Oculus 360 that are specifically made for virtual reality. The Gear VR does not give the user a nauseating or dizzy feeling that most people believe is present in these devices. It may take a bit of time to get used but in a few minutes, the users will be enjoying themselves as the world around them collides with what they are viewing inside that remarkable headset. The reason behind the splendid performance of the headset is its modern motion sensor technology that adjusts to every turn the user makes instantaneously.

Watching 2D or 3D movies, playing games and watching YouTube videos is what the Samsung Gear VR is best known for. Although gaming experiences could be better, playing any VR game is better than playing on a video game console in front of a television. Oculus puts the “real” in “virtual reality” as they put the viewer right in the middle of the situation every time. With all the advantages of owning a Gear VR Innovator Edition, the price seems like just an added benefit and coming in at just $200, it should be in the “must have” list for all Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge users.
