Mid range PC buying guide May 2013 – INR 40k to 55k

Here’s a guide that can help you buy well researched components to build a PC that offers value for money. All prices are in Indian rupees.

Note:

Not included are a keyboard/mouse combo and a sound system. These, we feel, can be bought as per user choice.

Mid range gaming PC(40k)

CPU:  AMD A10 5800k @ 8.6k
Motherboard: MSI FM2-A55M-E33 @ 3.3k
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 4 GB (1 x 4 GB) @ 2k
GPU:  PowerColor AMD/ATI HD 7770 1 GB GDDR5 @ 8.3k
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 500 GB HDD @ 3.2k
Monitor: Philips 21.5 inch LED – 222EL2SB Monitor @ 8.2k
Cabinet: bitfenix merc alpha @ 3.2k
PSU: Corsair VS450 450W @ 2.4k
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224BB DVD Burner @ 1k

cpu cooler: cooler master hyper 212 EVO @ 2.3k

TOTAL: Rs. 42.5k

Upper mid range gaming PC(55k)

CPU: AMD 3.5 GHz AM3+ FX 8320 @ 11k
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 @ 5.5k
RAM: 2*Corsair Vengeance DDR3 4 GB (1 x 4*2 = 8 GB) @ 4k
GPU: Sapphire AMD/ATI HD 7850 1GB GDDR5 1 GB GDDR5 @ 13.3k
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HDD @ 4.2k
Monitor: Philips 21.5 inch LED – 222EL2SB Monitor @ 8.2k
