Get Your Word Puzzle Fix With The Best Scrabble & Boggle Games

Ever since I was little, I enjoyed taking on the challenge of word games like Scrabble, as it was always fun to see what words I could come up with to earn the greatest number of points. Although I don’t get to play a good old Scrabble board game as often as I used to, I still get my word puzzle fix by playing Scrabble and Boggle games on my phone. I’ve played my share of word games over the years, so I thought it would be a good idea to compile a list of the top 3 Scrabble and Boggle games for mobile devices. After spending some time on Google, I found a site called AppGrooves that has a top 10 list of the best Scrabble and Boggle games.

I love games, but I certainly didn’t plan on playing more than 700 Scrabble games (how much they say exist), so I’m glad they saved me some time by rounding down the top 10. I spent some time with each of the games on their list, and I reviewed my top 3 favorites.

Words With Friends – Play offline anytime, anywhere

My first pick is Words With Friends. The game has certainly stood the test of time as I found it as fun and addicting today as it was when it earned top recognition as one of the best games back in 2014. I like that not only can you play online against other players, but you can also play solo offline, which is great when you want to play a quick game on-the-go. I also find the weekly challenges to be super fun, and the fact that you earn badges makes it even more rewarding.

Although some of the badges can be earned quickly, I found that other badges can take a little more time and effort to unlock. So, if you want to show your friends who’s boss, be aware that you’re going to have to put in some extra time to get those badges!

SCRABBLE – Play the classic board game online

My second pick is Scrabble. Although there are many Scrabble variations out there, I have found that nothing beats the mechanics and design of the original game. I also like the new features that are brought into the game, like the Teacher feature, where you can learn what the best possible word combination was after you take your turn. I also like that you can invite your Facebook friends to play Scrabble online, so you can still enjoy a fun game of Scrabble with your friends and family even if they are miles away. Another plus I found is the Scrabble dictionary feature, as it can really help for coming up with and learning new words.

The only drawback I found is that the game can take some time to load. However, once it starts, I find that it runs really smoothly and without any glitches. While I didn’t run into any problems with the game itself, hopefully, the developers will include an update to speed up the loading time!

Word Chums – Test your skills with a competitive multiplayer mode

My third pick is Word Chums. What I like about it is that you start off with a Chum character that levels up as you play. And, not only do you earn points by beating levels, but you can also unlock gear to customize your Chum, which is even more of a reason to continue playing! I also like the social aspect of the game, as you can invite friends to play in a team, or you can challenge them to a competitive match too. The weekly tournaments are also a lot of fun, as you can compete for the top spot on a worldwide leaderboard!

Although I find the difficulty level to be well balanced, you may come across a difficult word every now and then. If you feel that you are getting stuck, I find the hints to be super useful for getting a nudge in the right direction. You can also look up a word definition using the Word Chums dictionary if you need extra help.

Conclusion

Hope you had fun reading my reviews and I hope you’ll have even more fun playing the games. There are even more games and if you want even more you can check the list I used for finding the current best scrabble games.
