0Meet the All New Oukitel K6000 Pro
Oukitel is not a very well-known smartphone manufacturer but their past few phone releases have been phenomenal! Oukitel is a company based in China that puts some huge batteries in their smartphones. In fact, they were probably the first one to put a 10,000 mAh battery in a smartphone (Oukitel K10000). On a similar ideology, the Oukitel K6000 Pro smartphone, an ‘improved’ version of the K6000, sports a non-removable 6000 mAh battery.
When it comes to the specs, the Oukitel K6000 Pro can be considered a low to mid-range device. The device features a 5.5-inch IPS OGS 2.5D curved panel with 1080p resolution, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. This is a dual-SIM device, sporting two micro SIM card slots. However, the second SIM card slot also doubles as a micro SD card slot, which is supports cards up to 32GB.
Oukitel has outfitted the K6000 Pro with a 13-megapixel shooter on the back. There’s a 5-megapixel shooter around front for taking those important selfies. The rest of the hardware includes a fingerprint reader on the back, just below rear-camera lens. Interestingly, there’re no soft-keys on this device, instead it uses capacitive buttons for – menu, home and back.
Coming to what is unarguably the selling point of this device, the battery! If you want a 10 day battery life (though that depends more on usage), then the K6000 Pro gives you that luxury. With a battery that gigantic, the phone features Reverse Charging or Power-bank Mode via which one can charge up to 3 devices using the phone’s battery.
It’s worthy to note that Oukitel markets these batteries to be safer than the regular Lithium-Polymer batteries, claiming them to not explode when exposed to high temperatures. You would also expect the phone to be hefty, and in fact it is, at 180g and 9.5mm thickness, it is heavier and chunkier than most phones in the market. But that’s a small compromise for getting a huge monstrous battery.
Specs in a nutshell:
- 6000mAh battery
- Android 6.0 – Marshmallow
- Reverse Charging mode
- 10 days typical usage
- Mediatek MT6735 Quad Core processor
- 3 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM (Expandable)
- Hybrid Dual SIM (2nd Sim Slot supports MicroSD)
- Fingerprint sensor
- CNC crafted Unibody
Overall, the Oukitel K6000 Pro’s biggest edge of the competition is its 6000mAh battery. It is evident that battery life has been kept in mind throughout the entire design process. The Oukitel K6000 Pro is big and heavy, which is necessary to support the massive 6000mAh battery that’s large enough to fully charge a second phone!
