Medical Practices of the Past Quiz

One of the most rapidly evolving professions is medicine and nursing, The practices used today are a far cry from those used 50 or 60 years ago. A wealth of knowledge has been gained over many years with continuing tests, experiments and data studies enabling the medical professionals to more acutely diagnose and treat their patients.

Technological advancement has been a huge driver in the changes, with virtual reality aiding training for diagnostic methodologies, surgery and patient wellness. Computerised data storage has enabled patient care to be transferred from one provider to another, while digital ordering, tracking and delivery of medicines has also made a huge impact on the way we are cared for by health providers.

It seems amazing that we’ve come such a long way in a relatively short time. However, when you take a look at some of the practices used in the past it makes you thankful that you weren’t alive in those times as often the treatments where far worse than the actual illness.

Take a look at our Medical Practices of the Past quiz below and see if you can tell which practices were  used and for what medical conditions.
